catastrophic medical plan

catastrophic medical plan
Do you agree with the empasis on “primary care” in Obama’s health insurance plans?

Or do you think that health insurance should be for catastrophic risks?

Why doesn’t the government provide incentives for more walk in basic medical care services for which people can pay themselves and don’t need to wait for a doctor’s appointment when they need help with little problems like the flu, minor accidents, etc.? Why do simple medical services like that need to be covered by insurance?

It is all a mind set. What Obama proposes will never work because it is not the system that is bad it is the people and you cannot change bad habits. People will still go to the ER even with a small flu it is just the way it is. Society has done such a good job at threatening people with all kind of diseases and how crucial it is to act and react right away that people are scared of a single flu or cold.
When i have one i stay home, drink hot chicken soup, get me some cough drops or syrup and rest … which is exactly what the doctor would prescribe and what our parents and grand parents did … no one ever died. but today? no everything is an emergency even a scratch.
it is part of a brain washing process led by the media on behalf of the drug companies. We as a society are and have been conditioned to react a certain way to certain things. be it being sick or buying just bread at the store and ending up with 100 bucks worth of groceries … we are a conditioned society pushed to consumption and spending.
